2020, what a crazy year we have all experienced. We have all had a number of various occurrences this year, most of them not something we would like to remember or even want to be thankful for. However, we now find ourselves at the Thanksgiving holiday already! Thanksgiving to me is a very special day as it seems to bring the best out of people. It is my belief that if you are reading this you have a reason to be thankful for something.
No matter how this year will shape your holiday plans, I would encourage us all to find some time and be still to reflect on all of the blessings we enjoy. Thanksgiving is a time to enjoy family, food, and laughter; this year may require some creativity to accomplish these, but we are a people of resilience—which is also a blessing.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34
I know for me this year has had many different ups and downs personally and professionally. This year I lost my father, we had business deals that fell apart and a host of other things. We also had more time with our family, we had clients that we have helped to grow, and we had the opportunity to hire and work with a ton of really talented and special folks. We all have so many things to be grateful for. So, let’s all go this week and eat way too much, laugh at the goofiness our families provide and be thankful!
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
